Linda Vancil has worked in public education for over 35 years in various capacities. Her experiences range from working in a small rural district to helping lead the largest high school in Oregon. Linda’s experiences cover the K-12 spectrum as a teacher, counselor, and building administrator. She also served as the alternative high school building principal. 

Linda has been a leader in professional development both at the building and district levels.  She was charged with implementing several initiatives throughout her career, including professional learning communities, teacher evaluation, and new teacher mentoring. Linda focuses staff on data and what adult actions can provide the best possible student outcomes.  

In addition, she has managed district-wide grants and led the charge to grow the Career Technical Education programs in the David Douglas School District.  One of her most challenging assignments was developing an online educational option for students K-12. Linda created an online school from the ground up.  Her passion is student success, and she champions creating options and opportunities for students who realize their passions and potential.
